Monday 11th November.
Released today is our third long player, titled 'Diamond Valley'.
We recorded the album in May 2012 and Matthew Board mixed it during the olympics or there abouts. Noel Summerville mastered it and we were very glad to find a home for it with Static Caravan, one of this country’s genuine treasures. A lead single was released this April on a clear 7”, they all sold out. That brings us to today.
We have made the decision to make the album available to stream below. Read into that what you will, but if you enjoy it, we strongly encourage you to buy it from one of the find record shops who are stocking it.
We’ve produced some Diamond Valley prints and they are being posted out to record shops this week.
Above are some pictures of them.

The picture above is of the artwork for the forthcoming ‘Diamond Valley’ album. It was painted by J.M.W. Turner.
It will be released in the Autumn on Static Caravan. A pre-order link will be available on the Drift Record Shop site soon.
I spoke to Jon Falcone about the artwork for Drowned in Sound here.
… … … … … … … … … … …
After a several year hiatus from being a band, we picked up tools and spent a week recording a new album of songs. We’ve had those killer jams on ice for close to a year now and it’s starting to feel like as good a time as any to roll them out.
We released a 7” last month on Static Caravan with two tracks from the album, you can hear that below.
We have a handful of them left at our shop, you can invest right here. www.thedriftrecordshop.net
The full album (titled ‘Diamond Valley’) will be released this September. More to follow on that soon.
